Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on April 15,1976. She was a student at a private Christian elementary school known as Monroe Christian School. She was a student at Ouachita High School to pursue the second semester of her education. She then transferred into River Oaks High School after the school year ended. Shortly after her graduation she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward left school at the age of 13 and moved to New York so that she was able to begin modeling. She had the idea to attempt acting in the following years. In 1970she first appeared in an uncredited part in the soap-opera All My Children and was later a part of the short-lived NBC premier-time teen-drama Malibu Shores. The role she was cast in was Meg Cummings, a virgin in Sunset Beach in 1996. In 1999, she began an acting career in films as Brittany Foster the psychotic character in the horror film The In Crowd. It failed to make a profit in theatres, but it did find some success on cable and home-video.
